Winter news

Posted: Tuesday 24th November, 2009

AS I sit here desperately trying to think of something to write for this winter newsletter, I have to smile to myself, as the temperature outside today is 29 degrees!

How can I possibly think of wintery things to say.

The practice is continued on steadily, we have had no more babies this year, human or four legged. We do sadly though seem to have had a much higher proportion of homeless pets that we have had to rehome this year.

It has become increasingly hard for us to find homes for them, as we all now have more than our fair share of unwanted pets, and there only so many cats and dogs you can fit in a house. So if you are in the market for a new pet, particularly cats please ring us.

So, with the Winter once more upon us, bringing with it, long dark evenings and short days, it may be a good idea to keep your eye on pets weight. Maybe those walks aren’t so long as usual, or the cat prefers to snooze rather than mooch about. We offer nurse clinics for weight checks, they are free and full of good advice, so just ring or email to make your appointment.
